Bend single family home sales
continued to hold steadily above the $400,000 mark in each of the four months ending
September 30, with the median for the previous 12 months at $386,500.
And as prices continued to edge upward
the inventory of homes on the market, as gauged by 12-month average unit sales,
remained at a tight three months.
In all at the end of September there
were only 610 single family homes listed, while 2,445 sales were reported for
the 12 months. The statistics were compiled by Beacon Appraisal Group and
derived from the Multiple Listing Service of Central Oregon.
In Redmond, the region’s second most
active market, the median price hit a high of $306,000 in August, before
dropping to $287,000 in September. For the full 12 months the median was $266,000.
Redmond’s inventory of single family
homes mirrored Bend’s at just under three months, with 917 sales reported for
the 12 months and 219 listings at the end of September.
